The basic structure of electronic paper

The electronic paper display module is mainly composed of the following materials:
Electronic paper film
This is the core material of the electronic paper display module, responsible for displaying the patterns that the human eye actually sees.
baseplate
As the pixel electrode (lower electrode) of electronic paper display screen, it is used to control the black and white changes of each pixel of electronic paper. There are various types of baseboards to choose from, including PCB, FPC, TFT glass, PET, etc. In practical applications, different baseboards can be selected according to specific needs.
Electronic paper film can be laminated onto the substrate.
driver IC
Corresponding logic levels and timing can be generated based on control instructions and signals to control the working timing and status of each pixel (or segment code) on the motherboard, and enable electronic paper to display the desired pattern.
transparent protective film
A polymer plastic film with strong waterproof and vapor permeability. Using a laminating machine to tightly adhere it to the electronic paper film and substrate can effectively prevent water vapor from entering the electronic paper film and prevent damage to the electronic paper due to moisture.
edge banding adhesive
A special chemical adhesive is evenly applied to the edges of the transparent protective film to isolate water vapor. It can prevent water vapor from infiltrating around the transparent protective film and causing damage to the electronic paper film.
